Radgonde Amer is the director of the Uveitis and Ocular immunology service at the ophthalmology department at Hadassah Medical organization since 2007. She is a member of the International “Standardization of Uveitis Nomenclature” (SUN) group of uveitis experts. She is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine. Her main research focuses on phenotyping uveitic entities and exploring new therapies. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and provides peer-review for several scientific journals and is a member of the institutional Helsinki committee. She is involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows. She has completed several clinical trials in biologic and local therapies for uveitis in the capacity of principle investigator. She is the co-founder of JOUN annual conference (joint conference in uveitis and neuro-ophthalmology).
